The Power of Optimism

This is a great Abraham-Hicks conversation on the power of optimism and positive thinking. I have read many times from many different teachers about the one tenth of one percent - which is really incredible if you think about it!

"Do you know what percentage of the population it takes to FEEL optimistic before an upturn that serves the entire planet can begin to manifest? One tenth of one percent. One tenth of one percent, that might even be high. A fraction of the population has to FEEL optimism in spite of conditions before the paradigm shift occurs.
One tenth of one percent - now, most people that wouldn't mean anything to them because they don't know about vibrational reality to begin with. But if you could see it as we see it, with all this trouble putting all of this
asking over here in the vortex of creation and just a little bit of the population turning optimistically, which, all it would require is turning your televisions off and you'd be there. Then once the evidence starts happening, then people can point to the evidence.
And then so one tenth of one percent FEELING the optimism without justifiable reason is enough to begin the avalanche of justifiable reason that then the lazier thinkers can just observe, and then around it goes, and
the upswing happens.
And whoever it is that's predicting these downturns and upturns and what the economical climates are, we PROMISE YOU, is benefiting by what they've convinced you to think."
Abraham-Hicks 2/13/2010

As I was reading this quote, I realized that in our own lives it only takes one - each of us has complete control over our own experience with the power of our thoughts, emotions, expectations and beliefs.

It is literally as simple as this - Feeling good is good for you. Feeling bad is bad for you. Feeling good brings good life experiences, feeling bad brings bad life experiences. Literally. Really.

I think when we first start learning and understanding these teachings, many of us (including me) don't really get that it is not some esoteric concept - that it is literal and it is simple.  If your life isn't going exactly as you would like, it is because of something YOU are doing.  It's not the economy, your parents, your boss, your spouse.  IT'S YOU!!  ALL of that will change when you change.

The greatest gift you can give yourself is to make peace internally with everything in your life - just let it go.  LET IT GO.

Here is my tip for letting it go.  We have been taught that it takes 68 seconds to "shift" or to give a thought power.  You are paying attention to your feelings, right?  When you realize you are thinking something that doesn't feel good you want to shift to something that does feel good.  But if it is an active thought, you have probably thought it many times before, so it has some power to it and it isn't so easy to shift gears.

What works for me is to interject a positive affirmation to interrupt the pattern.  For example, if I am thinking about a relationship that maybe isn't making me feel so great, as soon as I realize what I am doing I can just start thinking over & over "I declare peace in this relationship".  Keep thinking it until you feel you have shifted.  Usually within a minute or two you will start to feel better.

If you leave it right there and do that a few times, it will start to shift.  If you can walk it up the scale, even just a little bit, it will be even better.  Even if "this isn't worthy of my attention" or "I have better things to think about" is better.  Maybe you can even get a "in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter" or even better.  The higher you can walk it up and feel good the better.

If you do this only once or twice a day, your life will begin to shift.  I promise.

I think the hardest thing in all of this is accepting responsibility for our own experience.  We have been taught the "blame game".  It is never our fault, right?  As soon as you can accept that your experience is ALWAYS you responsibility, the sooner you can move toward the life of your dreams.  Just don't beat yourself up over it, ok?  You didn't know.  Now you do.

Why You Keep Getting What You Don't Want

Do you spend more time than is really good for you responding to the current conditions?

Which means you're letting the current conditions train your vibration.
Think about what that means - if what is is what you focus on and what you focus on is what you practice and what you practice is the frequency that you offer and what you offer is what you get back....

Isn't it sort of a cycle that you might want to consider breaking?

I'm looking at the thing that I don't want and I'm getting more of it
So I'm looking at it and getting more of it...
So I'm looking at it and getting more of it...
I'm looking at it and getting more of it...

Is there something missing in the explanation?

"I see this thing I do not want and the more I look at it the more I get of it so I think I will look at it some more"

And we say the thing that is missing is you have forgotten that
you get what you think about
you get what you feel about
you get what you practice yourself into vibrational accord with.

We know it's much easier to keep thinking a thought you've been thinking.
We watch you.
We have offered blocks of thought to Esther for many, many years watching her find new words that match those blocks of thought
In order to help you, from the inside out, reorient yourself in this time/space reality because you become so accustomed to feeling the same way that you always felt when a certain condition or word or conversation is offered to you.

Don't Try So Hard

I just read this quote from Abraham-Hicks's Vortex:
Trying less hard actually accomplishes more.
This is absolutely true.  I'm one of those laid-back easy going people and I know I drive some people crazy.  I don't care.  At all.

I have always been pretty much that way, but through the years it has gotten more pronounced as I have grown. For the most part, I simply won't do something that I am not inspired to do.

Is that because I am "spiritually advanced"?  No - it is because I LEARNED IT THE HARD WAY!!!  Unfortunately that seems to be how we learn just about everything - especially before we get "tuned in, tapped in and turned on" as Abraham used to say.

Now I try to do everything by my gut feelings and let inspiration lead me down my path.  It works pretty good.  It doesn't work out so good for people that want me to do it NOW.

Not too long ago my 16 year old daughter asked me about this - she said that I always say go with your feelings - listen to your gut and your emotions.  She said she always gets it "wrong" when she tries to do that.  I explained to her that you have to learn what your gut sounds like.  I think for most of us, unfortunately, we have to have some of those "Ugh - I KNEW I shouldn't have done that" moments!  But we can use those burnt fingers to teach us a lesson.  How did we know we shouldn't have done that?  What kind of feeling was it?  Where did it come from? As many teachers teach us, as we start to honor and act on those feelings, they become easier and easier to distinguish.  Really, they do.

Sometimes you have to make a decision and you don't have a gut feeling about it.  Try getting quiet and thinking about both options.  If it is a choice between two things, or courses of action, relax and mentally carry out both possible courses of action.  Notice how do they feel?  Does one feel better than the other?  Does one of them offer an easy "next logical step" from where you are?  Mentally carry them both out to their logical conclusion.  Do you like where they take you?  How does it feel?  Which one feels better?  Which one feels right?  If you don't have a clear answer, don't take action yet.  Wait.  Wait until you know what the answer is.  Let it come to you.  It will as soon as you get out of your own way.

What is Keeping You From What You Want?

I'm currently reading "This Thing Called You", written by Ernest Holmes in 1948 and just came across this gem:

The thing that stands between you and the greater good is a thing of thought and nothing else. It is NOT reality that you must change, but your mental reaction to it.

Can the message be any clearer? If you think about it, we have been taught backwards & have been "doing it" backwards for eons.

We think cause & effect, right? But we think the cause is the effect and the effect is the cause.

For example, when something good happens to you, you feel happy. When something bad happens to you you feel angry, sad, depressed, or all of the above. We see the event as the cause and the emotion as the effect.

But there is a CAUSE to the event in the first place. The cause is the Law of Attraction responding to what you have been sending out - good, bad or indifferent, doesn't matter.

I recently thought about the book, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and reviewed the 7 habits. The first one is to be proactive. When I first read this book in the early 1990s, to me, being proactive meant to prevent problems before they happen. It involved taking preventive action now to avoid having to "fix" something in the future and it was very helpful to me.

Now I realize that it is even more important to be Proactive with our thoughts and emotions. See, if you didn't have those negative thoughts & feelings, you wouldn't have that bad thing happen to you. And when you respond negatively to a negative event, guess what? Yep, you're just ordering up more of it from the Universe via the Law of Attraction.

When something - good or bad - happens in your reality, it is feedback from the Universe on where you have been vibrationally, emotionally. You can either continue to respond the same way and keep getting what you are getting, or you can be proactive and change your thoughts.

Here are three of my favorite quotes that relate to this:
  •  "Change your thinking, change your life"
  • "If you keep doing what you've always done, you will keep getting what you have always gotten"
  • "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Albert Einstein

It sounds so simple doesn't it? Everyone makes it sound SO easy - oh just change your thoughts and be happy and everything will be rainbows & unicorns! It is simple, but it isn't easy. It can take a while. It takes baby steps and it is kind of like peeling an onion, once you get one layer off, there is another layer.

The good news is that just a little bit of "positive thinking" and unconditional happiness will shift your life enough for you to see that it works. Then just keep working on it a little bit everyday and before you know it you will be living the life of your dreams!!

You can start right now by deciding to be happy.  Decide NOT to let outside events or people be the "cause" of your happiness or unhappiness.  Be proactive.  Don't let outside people and events dictate your happiness. Practice unconditional happiness every day and your life will soar!

Find Something to be Happy About

Find Something to be Happy About?  Yes, it really is as simple as that.
Find something to be happy about. With each moment
of bliss, more of that which you've identified as
your desire flows to you, until another moment of
bliss comes and another, and another, and it seems
as if the entire Universe revolves around you - and
it does. So, a very short seminar would serve you,
if you could hear it. And it would go something like
this: Find something to be happy about. Goodbye!
Abraham-Hicks, 8/18/01. San Francisco, CA
It is such a simple concept - just be happy  That's what we all want, isn't it?  We all just want to be happy.  The things we want - the cars, houses, relationships, money - we want them why?  Because we think they will make us happy.

There is a little problem with that though - nothing can MAKE us happy.  Only you can MAKE yourself happy.  How?  By being happy.  It is a decision.  It is a mind set.  It is an attitude.

Guess what - you have everything you need to be happy right now.  You do really - just find one thing to be happy about and focus on it.  Here is something to be happy about - you woke up this morning.  You got another day!  How awesome is that?  Here is another - even if you are sick or have health issues - your body is still an under-appreciated miracle - trillions of cells working nonstop in perfect unison just so you can have another day.  And guess what - the sun came up today!  And I bet there is a least one special person in your life who loves you and cares about you - isn't that a blessing?

It is all about focus.  What are you focusing on?  Are you focusing on the many blessings in your life, of the miracle of you or are you focusing on a tiny grain of sand in your shoe?

"I just want to be happy", right?  Well the bad news is that nothing and no one can truly make you happy.  The good news is that you don't need a bloody thing to change in your life to get happy.  YOU and only you are responsible for your happiness.  Do the world a favor and let everyone else off the hook - they are only responsible for their own happiness, not yours.

We have been trained to focus on what is "missing" or what is "wrong".  Life becomes wonderful when you erase your old thought programming and replace it with unconditional happiness.  Happiness that has no conditions, no stings attached and is not dependent on any person or thing.  Then you are free.  As an added benefit, when you get happy & stay happy, all the things you wanted come rushing into your life.  Imagine that!

"Change your thinking, change your life", I don't know who originally said that, but it truly is the only thing you need to know.

So, are you happy right now?  If not, I suggest that you make getting happy your number one priority.  Find something to be happy about.  Anything.  Think about it, milk it, appreciate it.  Better yet, make a list of ten things in your life you appreciate.  Tomorrow list ten more and the next day ten more.  Spend some time really thinking about them.

One of the reasons I starting working on this site again is to build a personal "Happiness File" - to put everything I can find that elicits a positive emotional response in one place so I can have easy access to things that make me feel good.  Feeling good = happy.  You can start your own list, or use mine - My Happiness File.

All it takes to quickly transform you life is to change your attitude, your mind set.  Stop being an ungrateful little brat and open your eyes to the wonder of your life.  No matter your circumstances, you have way more good - I promise you.  Find it and focus on it.  Make the most important thing in your life to be happy.  If you aren't happy, stop what you are doing and get happy.  Pay attention to how you feel when you are happy and reach for that feeling often.  Try to make the feeling stronger and stronger.  Work on feeling happy everyday and in no time you will have transformed your life by transforming yourself.

My Happiness File - Dream On!

As a child of the 70's, I have always loved this song - I love the way it makes me feel.  I recently saw an interview with Steven Tyler where he talked about how this song just "came to him" as a divine inspiration all at once while he in a barn.  He said, "I don't know where the hell those lyrics came from".

This is an awesome rock anthem / power ballad.  I love to listen to it with my headphones, eyes close and just let the music move through me.  I always have a very positive emotional response to this beautiful song.  Dream On......

You Get What You Focus On, Period.

I have been studying and practicing the Law of Attraction for almost a dozen years.  In that time I have transformed my life and have had so many dreams come true.  One thing that has surprised me a bit, I think, is that no matter how far along you get if you don't keep your focus on your happiness and how you feel it is so easy to back slide.

This has happened to me recently.  Things have been going so well for me and then they started to back slide just a bit.  I realized it has been quite a while since I tended to my feelings and my happiness.  With all that is happening in the world around us, it is so easy to get "caught up" - caught up in other people's drama - from the international news to your next door neighbor, co-workers, relatives, even your Facebook friends - you get the picture.  What I have realized is that you just have to make your emotional welfare - your happiness - your number one priority, otherwise you start to backslide.  Little by little you just keep going lower and lower and then you start to notice it showing up in your outside world - reality check!

The old saying "you get what you focus on" is true in every situation, period.  I recently read the quote "Focus Makes You Fabulous" - that is true if you focus on fabulous things.  If you focus on what is not right in the world, with your spouse or in your life, guess what?  Yep, you get even more of it!!  But the good news is that is you focus on what is right, you get more of that.

I had a bit of a breakthrough recently when someone else's drama was starting to make me feel really, really bad.  One thing I try very hard to do is to never, ever go there (feeling really, really bad).  In a moment of inspiration the perfect, calming thought entered my head: "This has nothing to do with me" and immediately I felt better.  I have been using this a lot lately - "this has nothing to do with me" and it really is keeping me from going there - from getting caught up in other people's drama, or the news, or anything.  It is an instant detachment that really works.   My goal is to use that phrase to detach and change focus.  It is a closing of the door on that subject.

You do get what you focus on, no matter how big or small.  Today I am focusing on unconditional happiness - on things that make my heart sing an and spirit soar, and all of the many, many things that are so right in my world.  What are you focusing on today?

My Happiness File

I have been thinking about building a "Happiness Toolbox" - things that make me feel good - in one place to have a "go to" place to feel uplifted, connected - to give me a happiness boost. I realized that I already have the perfect place right here - that way I can share it with anyone else who may benefit from it and I can access it from anywhere. There will be a lot of music and videos - but other things as well. Here is one of my current favorites - as a die hard American Idol fan, watching this video always brings happy tears to my eyes and makes me feel wonderful.

My favorite teacher Abraham has been talking a lot lately about getting in the vortex - this one definitely puts me there!

Your Joy Comes From Within

Say No to Fear

Is there really anything worse than fear? I don't think so. Fear is such a horrible emotion, it feels terrible and can really drag you down into the mud emotionally. Fear is like the polar opposite of positive visualization - it, along with worrying, is like negative visualization. It will send you down a road you really don't want to travel.

I have noticed so many using fear in advertising or campaigning to try to negatively motivate. The people that resort to fear, no matter the motive, are trying to manipulate with no regard to our well being or free choice.

One of the greatest things you can do for yourself is to develop your "fear radar" and to tune out anyone who is trying to motivate, control or manipulate you through fear. The greatest way to motivate, empower and inspire others is through a positive message or example.

If you want to improve your life in a big way, take every small step you can to focus on the positive. Be positive whenever you can and to turn the other cheek to fear. Here is a great Abraham-Hicks quote about fear and illness:

"People DO NOT die of illnesses. They die of FEAR of illnesses. The
illnesses literally SCARE them into the disallowance of wellness. And if
they could just find a little piece of something that could give them
just a little breathing room, just a little breathing room, just a
little breathing room- they could breath themselves right back into
wellness, every single time. We are not kidding you- without exception."

"There is no reason for you to ever live less than the radiant, abundant lives that you have come forth to live. But you've got to make the decision that you are going to follow the path of least resistance, or the path of most allowance."

Back again - Ready to go to the next level......

Wow - my little unconditional happiness blog has been on hiatus much longer than I anticipated. Over 16 months since I added a new post. Amazingly, people are still visiting every day.

So, where have I been and why am I back? When I started Unconditional Happiness, I was a widowed single Mom, trying to improve my life, especially my inner life. It worked wonderfully and my life is so different now than it was when I started this blog.

I look back and see that by focusing on unconditional happiness I made all of my dreams come true. I was widowed a few days after my 46th birthday, but my late husband had suffered a stroke 5 years before that and was severely disabled, so I actually lost my husband long before he passed away.

After he died, I thought a lot about what type of relationship I would like to have. I made lists of the type of mate I wanted and the type of relationship I wanted to have. I was crystal clear about what I wanted. Within one moth of deciding that I was ready for a new relationship, THE man of my dreams came into my life. It was love at first sight for both of us. It was like we both instantly recognized that "this is THE ONE". We got married within 6 months and have just recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary. I call him "my perfect man", because he is everything on my list and more, so much more. I tell people it was like I ordered him from a catalog and he showed up as my perfect mate.

Do I believe that I manifested this wonderful relationship? I know I did. It worked for me because I was crystal clear about what I wanted and I really had no resistance to allowing it to enter my life. Our first year has been wonderful and I know it will just get better and better.

Less than two months after we got married, I was thinking one Sunday morning about how badly I wanted for us to buy our own home. We were renting a very nice house, but I wanted to buy a house, that was very important to me. I was sitting outside alone and prayed for the "fastest, easiest way" to buy a house. THAT SAME EVENING our landlord called and said she needed to move back into the house and gave us two months to move out. We ended up buying our beautiful dream house, we got it at a wonderful price and everything just went so easy.

With my dream man and my dream house, that left one dream. The dream of self-employment. I am a Registered Nurse and had a wonderful job, but all I ever wanted to do was to work for myself from home, doing my own thing. About 2 1/2 years ago I started building websites to work towards this goal. I had set a financial target to be able to leave the job and work from home. I ended up leaving the job last month, although I hadn't met my financial targets.

So that is why I am here tonight. I am living my dream life, with my dream man, my dream home and my dream job, but I am allowing myself thoughts way too often that are not going to get me where I want to go. I know from years and years of experience that by concentrating on unconditional happiness, or feeling good, or positive thinking, that I can easily and effortlessly go where I want to go at lightening speed. I also know that is where I want to go now and I want to make it a priority. So what better way to focus on this area of my life again to come back here and focus on "good thinking" and deliberate creation?

One thing that happened as my dreams were coming true that I didn't think would happen to me is that I got "caught up". You know, caught up in the stress, the crap, the less than happy thoughts, stress, etc. I am ready to free myself from getting caught up!!

My dreams have come true. The "Big 3" that I had for so long are here - I am living them! I am so appreciative for that. Now I am ready to go to the next level. I need some new dreams and I intent to recommit to focus on my connection and how I feel. I am making a re-commitment to Unconditional Happiness, because I know IT IS the answer to making my dreams come true!!

What about you? What dreams can the joy of unconditional happiness deliver to your door step? (Mine was dressed up as a tall handsome dreamboat who thinks I am the most wonderful woman to ever walk on the planet.) I guess the bottom line is that I know it is time to turn back inside and allow the spiritual growth that will take me to the next level easily and effortlessly, always remembering the wise words of Abraham "nothing is more important than how I feel". And now that I have written this I FEEL WONDERFUL. Thanks for listening! I'll be back soon.

Everything Affecting You is Vibrational

Just love everybody that interacts with you no matter how personally or how peripherally involved with you they are. The efficiency of the people who deal with you... everything is orchestrated by the manager called Law of Attraction. And your vibration is setting all of it into motion. Everything affecting you is a reflection of the vibration that you are emitting. Spend more time focused upon your dream than upon the reality. The reality gives birth to the dream -- but the dream is where you are wanting to put your attention.

Just Say Yes!

"Say yes to whatever it is. Because if you say yes to it and then you get in the middle of it, and you say, "Uh oh, this isn't really turning out the way I wanted it to," then out of that is born another desire.

And as you say yes to that, then it turns out. And you say, "Well, it's still not quite right." So you have another desire... Until eventually you get it exactly right.

You cannot get it wrong. No creation is ever complete. Just do it."

You Are Who You Choose To Be

"Nothing can happen- I say to you, nothing can occur- in your life which is not a precisely perfect opportunity for you to heal something, create something, or experience something that you wish to heal, create, or experience in order to be Who You Really Are.

Whatever aspect of Divinity you wish to be- that's Who You Are. That can change at any given moment. Indeed, it often does, from moment to moment. Yet if you want your life to settle down, to stop bringing you such a wide variety of experiences, there's a way to do that. Simply stop changing your mind so often about Who You Are, and Who You Choose to Be."

Love IS the Best Medicine

"Many studies show that giving or receiving love causes biological changes in the body. For example, if you are watching a program showing Mother Teresa's interaction with children who have leprosy, and the way she hugs and kisses them, just watching that program will increase the production of certain substances in your system that fight cancer and infection. Simply observing Mother Teresa's loving behavior is healing; that's a biological fact. When women who have breast cancer meet together to support and care for one another, their condition usually improves. Studies of children with hormonal disorders have shown that if you love them and touch them, if you offer them emotional support in a nourishing environment, they get better. That's how love heals. I believe that love not only heals, it actually renews your physiology, and slows down the aging process. We have found that for men who believe
they are loved by their wives there is a huge difference in coronary cases. A sense of security comes from feeling loved which is profoundly beneficial to a person's health and well-being."

It is Impossible to "Exclude"

It's that habit of saying "no" that trips more of you up than all other things put together.

It's that looking around your physical contrast and seeing some things wanted and saying "yes" but seeing some things not wanted and saying "no".

Every time you say "no", every time you get into that resistant stance,every time you think, "Oh, I really do not want this" or "I hope that doesn't come to me" -- by your attention to it, you are inviting it.

You are including it.

You are lowering your vibration.
You are separating yourself from your Core.

You are drowning your cork.

You are not in vibrational harmony with who you are.
And most of all -- you don't feel good.

It would be a very short and effective seminar if we said to you,

"The secret of creating anything that you want is get happy and stay there, because in your joy, you are always in the place of allowing that which is in vibrational harmony with who you are and what you are wanting."

One Life - Two Journeys

"You are simultaneously on two journeys. One is a horizontal journey represented by the story line of your life: life events, encounters, experiences, relationships, and outcomes. The other is a vertical journey represented by what is going on inside you: joy, sorrow, peace, frustration, numbness or aliveness. While most people believe and act as if the horizontal journey is their purpose in living, in truth we are here for the vertical journey. Behind all of your worldly exploits, you are a spiritual being here to unfold to your highest personal reward and expression. If you get hung up on the outer journey but do not recognize the inner one, you will be lost and confused in a big game of Chutes and Ladders that has no meaning or direction. If you check in with your inner self often and make course corrections in the direction of authenticity and joy, you will stay on track and your life will have meaning, purpose, and reward."

TRUST and BELIEVE in the Laws of the Universe

All you must do is TRUST and BELIEVE in the Laws
of the Universe, utilize your own guidance system
to bring yourself incrementally, consistently and
eventually into vibrational alignment with the
things you are asking for.

And as you do that, those who watch you will stand
in amazement! They will begin to notice that you are
someone who launches an idea softly and stands in eager
anticipation of it, exclaiming as circumstances and
events give you constant evidence.

And they will also begin to recognize you as those who
are not one bit impatient about what has not yet come.
Because there is so much is consistently coming that
your plate is always full!

They will begin to notice you as those who are satified
where you are and eager for more. They will notice you
as those who are exploring contrast just like everyone
else. And launching desires, just like everyone else.

But deliberately trying to see the best of where you
stand, playing the positive what if game, looking for
reasons to feel good, trying your best to feel as good
as you can feel right where you stand.

Because you have discovered long ago that when you make
the worst of it, you move in the opposite direction of
what you are wanting. And when you make the best of it,
you move in the direction of where you are wanting.

Health Starts in the MIND

Guest: (A veterinarian who is now beginning to work with people) .. I have a tremendous fascination with structure and the biology aspect of it and have started to get invitations to speak to groups and I'm wondering how the biology and the spirituality connect - and the kinds of statements I can make to build these bridges.

Abraham: All of the biology - every bit of it - is following the vibration of the mind. Every bit of it, EVERY bit of it.

So the wellness that is being allowed, or the wellness that is being denied, is all about the mind set, the mood, the attitude, the practiced thoughts. There is not one exception in any human or beast that you'll ever discover. It's ALL that. Treating the body really is about treating the mind. Because you have discovered you can patch them up again and again and they will just find another way of reverting back to the natural rhythm of their mind, you see.

It's all psychosomatic - every bit of it - no exceptions.

Nothing is More Important than How I Feel NOW

"Make up your mind that nothing is more important than how I feel now, because now is everything. Now is the whole enchilada. Now is the power of me. Now, now, now, now, now… You might as well start somewhere, and it might as well be now. Why not start improving your life now, now, now?"

Seth on the Power of Imagination and Emotions

Imagination and emotions are the most concentrated forms of energy that you possess as physical creatures. Any strong emotion carries within it far more energy than, say, that required to send a rocket to the moon. Emotions, instead of propelling a physical rocket, for example, send thoughts from this interior reality through the barrier between nonphysical and physical into the objective world -- no small feat, and one that is constantly repeated.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
To act in an independent manner, you must begin to initiate action that you want to occur physically by creating it in your own being. This is done by combining belief, emotion and imagination, and forming them into a mental picture of the desired physical result.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The path of experience is nowhere settled. There is no one road that does not have avenues to another. There are deep veins of probable actions ever available to you at any given time. Your imagination can be of great value, allowing you to open yourself to such courses; you can then use it to help you bring these into being.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because you now distrust the imagination so, you do not understand the great clues it gives you, both in terms of problem solving and of creative expression. Many quite valid reincarnational memories come as imaginings, but you do not trust them. A good percentage of your problems can be worked out rather easily through the use of your imagination.
The Law of Attraction, Dating and "Near-Misses"
I have been reading this Abraham quote a lot lately:
"You don't have to be pure and perfect to begin to be the recipient of avalanches of evidence of well being. In other words, you just have to tip the scale a little bit in order for you to begin to receive the evidence of it.
As you begin to tip the scale, you'll have some, what you will later call, "near-misses": Someone who initially looks pretty good will come in. And by closer scrutiny or exploration, you'll discover, "This isn't quite right," and you'll say, "Oh, Universe! You have foiled me again! (laughter) You have brought to me someone less than I want!"
And we say, Oh! It is just a near-miss! It is evidence that you're getting closer and closer. Don't you notice all of these things that were nearly right? And didn't the parts that weren't right help you to clarify more clearly what it is that you are wanting? And aren't you now sending off clearer signals about what you do want?
And as you're reaching for thoughts that feel good, are you not aligning to these yet clearer signals about what you are wanting? And is your future not brighter? Is it not more assured of satisfying you when it comes? And aren't you willing to sort of cool your jets and relax a little bit, and wait for the perfect timing of the unfolding of this?" -- Abraham-Hicks
I have been widowed for 18 months now and all during that time I have known that at some point I would want to have another relationship. My intention is and has always been "the right relationship with the right person at the right time".
Recently I have just known that it is time to start moving forward with my life. In so many ways, I feel like I have been reborn. I have a renewed zest for live and am so eager to get out in the world and have some fun. One of the things I have been doing is meeting people on an online dating site.
I have met some wonderful people who I know almost from the beginning are "not the one", but they are wonderful people. I have come to realize that every of them comes with a gift. Something I need to learn or know or ponder. Each one is more than a "near miss" it is a way to further clarify exactly what I want and I am grateful to have such an awesome and fun opportunity to "fine tune".
The Only Thing You Have Any Power About
"See this world as a free world, and see everyone in it as trying - through their individual experiences - to find their way back to that calling, back to that Source Energy. And even though there are billions of them going about it in a way that is different than you would choose, there's no right or wrong way. In other words, bless them all, and get on with the only thing you have any power about, which is opening or closing your vortex to your natural state of Well-Being."
You are what THINK, not what you eat!
"You are what THINK, not what you eat- and to a large extent what you THINK about what you eat is far more important.
What you think about your body, health, and illness will determine how your food is used, and how your chemistry handles fats, for instance, or carbohydrates. Your attitudes in preparing meals are highly important.
Physically, it is true, but again generally speaking, that your body needs certain nourishments. But within that pattern there is great leeway, and the organism itself has the amazing capacity to make use of substitutes and alternates. The best diet in the world, by ANYONE'S standards, will not keep you healthy if you have a belief in illness."
Nothing is More Important than Feeling Good
I Trust Myself & I Trust Life
I trust that Life will provide me with everything I need and want.
I know that I was born a beautiful and trusting soul. If things get difficult, I turn within and anchor my thoughts in truth and love. I ask for guidance from the Universe, and I make my way safely through stormy seas and calm, blissful weather. My job is to stay in the present moment and to choose clear, simple, positive thoughts and words. I trust the process of Life in all its mysterious and wondrous ways.
I trust myself, and I trust Life.
The Importance of Who You Are
Begin saying, "I now understand that all things are possible. And while I, just like electricity or just like the workings of my engine, or whatever, I don't have to understand the intricacies of how it works, I know that it works. I know that anything that I am wanting to know, all manner of infinite intelligence is mine to be had. All I have to do is relax and trust that it is there."
All-That-Is works for your well-being and to answer anything that you want to know.
You are the center of your vibrational universe. And we could not begin to describe to you the resources that are at your disposal. We think that you do not understand the importance of who you are and the value that this leading edge personality in focus has to All-That-Is, you see.
Sometimes you treat yourselves like you are just unworthy humans here mucking your way through the mire in order to prove some sort of worthiness to someone else and we say it is so far different from that. You are Source Energy focused. You are important to All-That-Is. Everything is at your disposal. Nothing should be inconceivable to you.
Things that before now could not happen to you .... begin happening
When you talk about what you want and why you want it, there is initially less resistance within you than when you pose questions that you do not have answer for, like how, where, when, and who. It sets up a contradictory vibration within you that slows everything down....
Words like faith and trust are so annoying on some levels, but we want to explain their value, because even though you do not know how or where or when or who, if you know what, and you have talked about why you want it and you have practiced the thought of it until it is starting to feel very familiar to you, what begins to happen is that things that before now could not happen to you .... begin happening. Ideas that would not even occur to you, before, now begin to occur to you, and interactions with people that you do not have access to now .... begin to happen.
The Best Question
The best question for you to put forth to the Universe with an expectation of receiving an answer is:
Where is my greatest joy?
That is the most powerful question.
What makes me happy?
What could I do today that would bring me the greatest amount of joy?
What places in this city would be of most uplifting nature to me?
What programs that are listed in the guide for television would be for my best interest?
What books in the great bookstore should I gravitate towards?
What is of most uplifting nature to me?
I want to find it!
And you will find floodgates opening and all kinds of new experiences pouring in.
Law of Attraction
It is my dominant intent to look for what I want to see.
As you deliberately look for things to appreciate, praise, or enjoy, you achieve vibrational harmony with your own Source, and with all that is good.
And then, the powerful Law of Attraction brings more good things to you.
Abraham-Hicks
You are in the Perfect Position to Get There from Here
When you drive your vehicle from place to place, you have an awareness of your starting place as well as awareness of where you are going. You accept that you cannot get there instantaneously, you accept that you will travel the distance, and in time you will arrive at your destination. And while you may feel anxious to get there, and maybe even tire of the journey, you do not get so discouraged at the midway mark that you just turn around and go back to your starting place. You do not drive back and forth and back and forth from your starting point to the midway point and then finally collapse from the never ending journey.
You do not announce your inablilty to accomplish your journey. You accept the distance between your starting place and where you desire to be-- and you continue to move in the direction of your destination. You understand what is required-- and you do it. And we want you to come to know that the journey between where you are and where you want to be-- on all subjects-- can be just as easily understood.
To Know Your Power
Because you counter the majority of your thoughts with opposing thoughts, you believe that you are not powerful.
When you no longer split your flow of energy with contradictory thoughts, you will know your power.
Happiness = Inner Peace
The type of happiness you should strive for is not temporary excitement. It is a deep peace and love inside. The type of happiness which will stand you in good stead through the remainder of your life, and which you can achieve without any change in outside events, is a feeling of deep connection with all that is, a reaching up into love, faith, connection and joy and a reaching down into peace, a well of peace deep inside that nothing can touch. Even in the direst outer circumstances, you can find that deep peace inside and you can surround yourself with the love of the benevolent and caring universe by simply stepping into it and allowing its grace and beauty to surround you.
Does this sound too easy? It is simple, but it may not be easy at first. It requires daily discipline. It requires that you shift your thinking from the future into now. It requires that you shift your emotional response from the outer-driven to the inner-driven. It requires that you connect with the world around you in new ways, taking from it what is beautiful and wonderful, connecting with it in compassion and caring, but keeping your own self intact, like a shining star inside that never dims. It requires that you reinforce your own star and shine every morning without fail and that you continually seek connection with beauty and wonder, letting the cruel remark and act of betrayal pass over you and allowing the wonder of one leaf, one rose petal, one song, to penetrate deeply.
You can learn to do this. And when you do, you will carry peace within you at all times, you will wear love like a warm cloak, you will shine with grace, you will glow with happiness that cannot be dampened, that does not come and go with success and failure in other people's eyes.
Inner peace, deep love, joy and light. These are your happiness. And they are yours, right now.
Life is all About Finding Joy
You can choose your thoughts, your focus. And therein lies all your power. The power to create whatever lives you want, despite outward appearances and circumstances.
You can choose to live from the inside out, or from the outside in. You can let what’s "out there" create your joy or lack of it. Or you can let what’s "in here," in your hearts, create your joy. And then you will be totally free of the shackles of circumstances and the world "out there."
Friends, when you can find joy in your heart, no matter what your outer circumstances are, then you will have found the true meaning of life.
Life is all about finding joy, about remembering who you are and why you are here.
Joy is the answer. Joy is the meaning of your lives.
How can I be happy when?
We can tell from you that if you will put these questions to yourself, "How can I be happy when?" and then make your statement of what you think's gone awry. And then do your best to be a little more happy even though that has happened, what's going to happen is you are going to shore up your vibration until those things just fall by the wayside.
Do you know if you could answer the question and fulfill the answer, "How can I be happy when my house hasn't sold?" If you could ask that question for about 30 days, to the point that within that 30 days you are not unhappy because the house hasn't sold, it will sell!
If you ask the question, "How can I be happy when I haven't found my life partner?" if you could ask that question for about 30 days until you're happy even though you haven't found what you consider to be your life partner, that partner would walk through the door and you would recognize them. It has to be that way!
When you find the way of soothing your own angst, which is the only thing that is keeping you from being a vibrational match.
Here's the picture:
You are getting a watered down version of what you are wanting.
So you ask that question and bring yourself into closer and closer alignment with what you want, now, you are offering one signal. It has to come into your experience now, it has to, it can't NOT! It's not possible for you to not get what you want. It is not possible, unless you are holding yourself in a position of split energy.
How can you NOT be happy?
That's our question to you! How can you NOT be happy? Have you looked around? Do you see where you live?
Do you understand all that has come before? Do you understand the culmination on which you come forth? Do you understand that Source energy supports you in every thought that you want? Do you understand that you live on this stable planet that is here to nurture and express wellbeing to you in any way that you can conjure or imagine? That's the question that nonphysical would like to put to you!!!
But we never ask a question that is so big that the answer torments you.
What is Unconditional Happiness?
Unconditional happiness is a concept that came into my awareness one day. I had heard a lot about unconditional love, but this was a new concept for me. When I started thinking about the idea of unconditional happiness, I felt so full of joy and realized that, for me at least, I had discovered the secret to the life of my dreams, the answer to every prayer.
To me, unconditional happiness means that I can choose to be happy any moment of any day. It means that I no longer rely on any event or person outside of myself for my happiness. It means that no matter what happens in my life I can choose to be happy.
The reason I am so excited about this concept is because I realize that all we have in each moment is that moment. The past is gone; the future is not here yet. If I choose happiness then I am happy. And because I know of the law of attraction, I know that being happy brings me more happiness.
In my own life, I have found it so easy to learn and accept the "new age" teachings ("you create your own reality", the law of attraction, and the true cause and effect - which is backwards from what we have been taught). However, living that knowledge is another story! We are so ingrained in our patterns of thought and our perspectives. It has taken me years to peel back those layers and then there is always another one waiting. I started this website mainly because I felt so strongly inspired to do so. I do not know where it will go, but it is mainly about my commitment to and adventure with unconditional happiness.
I know that anyone who is seeking this information will find it. If you found my particular version of eternal truths, welcome and I hope these ideas and concepts will have the enormous positive influence in your life that they have had in mine.
I try to remind myself everyday the words of wisdom from Abraham-Hicks, "Life is suppose to be fun".
Brother David Steindl-Rast said it so much more eloquently that I:
"Ordinary happiness depends on happenstance. Joy is that extraordinary happiness that is independent of what happens to us. Good luck can make us happy, but it cannot give us lasting joy. The root of joy is gratefulness. We tend to misunderstand the link between joy and gratefulness. We notice that joyful people are grateful and suppose that they are grateful for their joy. But the reverse is true: their joy springs from gratefulness. If one has all the good luck in the world, but takes it for granted, it will not give one joy. Yet even bad luck will give joy to those who manage to be grateful for it. We hold the key to lasting happiness in our own hands. For it is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.” From “Gratefulness, the Heart of Prayer
